At the core of the XPV is the integration of Exeger Powerfoyle™ dye-sensitized solar cells, embedded within the curved headband. These ultra-thin (only 1.3 mm thick) cells capture both indoor and outdoor light, converting it into continuous energy, even in low-light conditions. This drastically reduces or eliminates the need for manual recharging.
This convenient and eco-conscious approach aids with the reduction of single-use batteries and supports sustainability, bolstered by 3M’s use of recycled plastics and OTA firmware updates to prolong product life.
